                                             Mzara Arts by Mahjabeen Banu

Mahjabeen Banu was born in Bihar in the year 1984 and became the victim of the polio when she was just one year old and as a result her left leg got affected badly. A bright student all through her schooling, she had a passion for painting even as child. While she was in 5th standard, she was awarded first prize by Ms Sonia Gandhi at an international painting competition. Again in the year 1998, she won first prize at a reputed painting competition and was awarded by the then health minister Mr.Bandaru Dattatrey. She received yet another award by Dr Manmohan Singh in the year 2000 A.D. Her professional painting career began in the year 2010, when she painted and sold four worthy paintings on the footpath leading to the World Trade fare. Seeing her immense talent, a passerby helped her to participate in Ece Tec International Exhibition in the same year. Thereafter, there was no looking back. Her paintings at the exhibition were appreciated highly. In 2011, she exhibited as an independent artist at at Suraj Kund Mela and World Trade Fair and got rave response. Till date, she has painted over two hundred paintings, which have been exhibited in U.S.A, Canada, Indonesia, Thailand and Kabul. The Governor of Delhi Mr. Najib Jung appreciated her paintings at the last World Trade Fare and inspired her to move ahead.
