STOP India was created by Professor Roma Debabrata after working on a case of trafficking with a girl from Bangladesh. STOP is a Delhi based NGO with a mission to see the end of human trafficking and oppression of women and children.
STOP's approach to combating the complex issues involved in human trafficking is multi-pronged. They use a human rights-based approach and focus on empowerment at both individual and community levels.
Their activities include:
Community outreach and educational programs in relocation communities (Bawana and Tughlakabad).
Rescuing trafficked girls.
Rehabilitating survivors and providing various skill trainings.
